A Kind of Square Programme

In this radio documentary for long-running documentary series Spectrum, Jack Perkins records the sounds, and talks with some of the people who frequent Cathedral Square in Christchurch during the late 1980s. The police community kiosk is a central fixture, as are some of the characters including The Wizard, The Bag Lady, Jock the Birdman and The Bible Lady. The Cathedral offers a place of refuge for many.
